Here are just a few reminders when it comes to having a successful Rally. The intent of the Rally is for our voice to be heard. Violence is never NEVER the answer.
#1 Please don’t block the driveways – If the driveway is blocked the business could call the police and have us removed.
#2 Don’t completely block the sidewalks either. There is a chance that not everyone in the area will be participating and pedestrians need to be able to travel safely between destinations. Best thing would be to either be on the grass or single file along the sidewalk near the grass as not to block the view of pedestrians as they walk down the street.
#3 Put some thought into your signs. We want a Rock station back. That’s our goal. Trashing Maverick Media would give us immediate satisfaction, but won’t help us in our hunt for a station to pick up our music. Make your signs reflect your feelings for Maverick Media, but please don’t use profanity.
#4 During one of the smaller rallies a police officer was kind enough to speak to us about enticing people to honk their horns. There’s an actual vehicle code that states any unreasonable use of horns can result in a citation. We don’t want the police camping out writing tickets to our supporters, so please please do not entice drivers to honk their horns.
#5 The 50ft noise ordinance does apply to these rallies so we can’t have any music that can be heard beyond the 50 ft. limit.
If we follow these few simple guidelines we’ll have a successful Rally and hopefully our voice will be heard loud and clear.
